Mary Schwertfeger is the first recipient of the Brooke-Hancock-Ohio County Retired and Senior Volunteer

Program "SHINNING STAR" award, an honor introduced this year in recognition of National Volunteer Appreciation Week. 

Nominations for this honor was provided by RSVP volunteers and representatives of various community organizations.  The

"SHINNING STAR" award was selected by the RSVP advisory board.  Mary has put in 670 hours of volunteer work since joining

the program in 1999.  Mary is an excellent worker and very dependable.
